Chamomile, Lavender & Star Anise Easy · 6 min · Forgiving · 1 cup a soft evening steep  A hushed, honeyed steep where chamomile's apple-soft calm meets lavender's floral drift, threaded with the sweet licorice warmth of star anise. It is built for the hour the day loosens its grip, a cup that quiets the nerves and coaxes the body toward sleep. INGREDIENTS - 0.8 g chamomile flowers (dried; ≈ 1 tsp)
- 0.08 g dried lavender (≈ 1/16–1/8 tsp buds)
- 0.05 g star anise (tiny pinch)
- 300 ml filtered water (~95°C)
Method - Combine the chamomile, lavender, and star anise in a warmed pot.
- Pour over water just under the boil and cover.
- Steep, covered, then strain; a longer steep gives a deeper, sleepier cup. (5–6 min)
